Holiday Wish List
Home Edition
Hi everyone,
Sorry for the recent radio silence. I’ve been riding horses and “living in the moment,” which is my preferred euphemism for ignoring several deadlines. Some personal-life shrapnel also flew in from stage left, as it does. We carry on.
Anyway: Los Angeles, 5:30 p.m., pitch black. The city has apparently entered its gothic era. The sky is doing a full East Coast cosplay: dumping rain, moody, slightly apocalyptic. I’ve never seen LA like this, and frankly, I feel tricked.
We’re also approaching that time of year, or at least close enough that I’ve finalized my outdoor lighting scheme with my Christmas-lights guy. (Yes, I have a Christmas-lights guy. He bravely tangles with thousands of twinkle lights so I don’t have to.) I’m currently avoiding buying myself anything by making a Christmas list like a small child writing a letter to Santa.
